Week 4 Date 3 December 2010

In class, today teacher teaches about Tenses 12.The tenses are the very important for students must learn and understand that apply to translation well. The three kind of tense consists of: present
tense, past tense and future tense.

The Structures of each Tense:

Present Simple : S + V.1
Present Continuous :S + is,am,are+V.1 ing
Present Perfect :S + has,have,V.3

Present Perfect Continuous :S + have,has+been +V.1 ing

Past Simple : S + V. 2
Past Continuous :S + was,were+V.1 ing
past Perfect :S+ had + V.3

Past Perfect Continuous : S+ had+been + V.1 ing


Future Simple: S + will, shall + V.1
Future Continuous : S + will, shall + be+ V.1 ing
Future Perfect : S+ will, have+V.3
Future
Perfect Continuous :S+ will+ have+ been + V.1 ing …

Then, Aspect tells how the verb is related to that time, or gives some other information about the quality of the action. There are four kind of aspect: simple, progressive, perfect and progressive . That, teacher will emphasize two kinds:
1.The Progressive Aspect or Continuous Tense (กำลัง, อยู่)

The progressive form of the verb phrase contains a form of the verbs be + V. ing
Using Tense:
1. Action or event is continuing.
Ex She was sleeping.

2. The event is happen and the end down quickly but, happen slow.
Ex: The boy is hitting my dog with a stick.

3. Action has not been completed.
Ex: I am writing a Global Warming.

4. A temporary action.
Ex: She is living London.

5. Actions is happening in the future which plan on in the present.
Ex: She is flying to China tonight .

The Perfective Aspect or Perfect Tense (เพิ่ง, แล้ว, เคย, ได้อ่าน)
The perfective form of the verb have / has + V.3
Using Tense:
1. Events has happened and linked with a later time.
Ex: The thief has run away when the police arrive.

2. Event has happened to continue in the present.
Ex: We have lived in Japan since last year.

3. Action or event has happened by do not indicate time but, it happened at least once.

Ex: I have been to India before. (been คือ ไปแล้วกลับแล้ว ถ้าใช้ gone ยังไม่กลับ )

4. Action or event has happened and sent to effect on to the present.

Ex: I have eaten rice .
He has cut himself.


Then, teacher give the sentences are Thai by the students help translate English.
1.ระหว่างที่ฉันรอพบหมอ ฉันอ่านนิตยสารจบไป 2 เล่ม
While I was waiting to see the doctor, I read two magazines.

2. ศักดิ์สูบบุหรี่มานาน 30 ปี แต่เขาเลิกสูบุหรี่แล้วเมื่อ 2 ปี ก่อน
Sak has been smoking for thirty year, but he gave up stop smoking two years.
3. คุณทำงานหนักมาตลอด ตอนนี้คุณควรจะพักบ้างได้แล้ว
You have been working hard, now you should get rest.
4.ตอนที่ฉันเข้าไปในห้องนั่งเล่นสามีของฉันกำลังดูข่าว
When I went into the living room my husband watches the new.
5.ตอนที่ฉันเข้าไปห้องนั่งเล่น สามีของฉันดูข่าวจบแล้ว

When I went into the living room, my husband has already watched the news.

Then, teacher gives homework about 6 items:
1. อย่าโทรมาหาฉันช่วง 6 โมง ถึงทุ่มหนึ่งนะฉันกำลังกินข้าวเย็นอยู่ตอนนั้น
- Don’t call to me on time to 6 - 7 p.m. I’m eating rice in the evening.
2. โทรมาหาฉันหลังทุ่มหนึ่งนะฉันกินข้าวเสร็จแล้วตอนนั้น
- Please call to me after 7 p. m. I have finished rice.
3. เธอคิดอะไรตอนที่ซื้อกระโปรงตัวนี้มันสั้นมาก
- What do you think, when you bought the skirt it is very short. 4. เล็กไปประเทศญี่ปุ่นมา2 ครั้งแล้ว
- Lek has been to Japan twice.
5. ใหญ่ไปอเมริกาแล้ว แล้วจะกลับมาเดือนหน้า

6. อย่าส่งเสียงดังได้ไหมคุณพ่อกำลังทำงานอยู่

Furthermore, I learn to out class the first about “Newspaper”. Why do we have to read a newspaper? The main purpose of a newspaper is to inform the readers of the fact about current events what has happened, what is happening or what will or may happen. These reports of facts are called factual news stories. They are put together in the news section.
In the part of newspaper there are 5 kind: Front section, Classified Page, Business news, Outlook, and Special section.
Ex: Front section
- Local news - International news
- Sport news - Opinion and analysis
Then, story “News” Newspaper contain stories on a wide variety of topic. News stories on the same topic often have a similar structure and vocabulary. They are also usually found in the same section of the newspaper.
There are 9 the type of News:
1. National Politics (Home)
2. Entertainment
3. Internation
4. Education
5. Busiess
6. Weather
7. Fashion
8. Crime
9. Sport

Ex: Foreign fund managers are mostly bullish about prospects for the Thai economy and listed
Companies, assuming general election are successfully completed by the end of the year.

Third story “The 5W-questions” News stories written in a very style. They should contain only fact, not the opinions of the writer.


Most news stories answer 5 questions, the 5 Ws.

Week 2 Date 19 November 2010

In class, teacher teach about Auxiliary Verb help to the state such as , can/could, will/would, may / might, must, should ,etc.
Ex: I wish I knew him.
I wish to know him.
I want to know him.
Note: Three sentences have meaning the same .likely, probably that he prefer use by foreigners mean “maybe, might”.
Then, using “Can”
Ex: Your sister can speak English well.(can มีความหมายว่า ได้ดี )
You can take my car. (can มีความหมายว่า ขออนุญาต )
Can you pass me the salt? (can มีความหมายว่า ช่วย )

Then, teacher must be the soul four consists of teachers should before will be teach student.
1. Critical mind = cognitive / thinking skills.
2. Creative mind= new innovative
3. Product mind = product task based learning / project based earning
4. Responsible mind = web based learning
Next, the story Communicative Competences is the important for students must learn that are four consists: the first Linguistics Pragmatic = discourse.
It is the important for learning English that about sentence structure:
Sentence Structure = Syntax
Sound System = phonetic, phonology
Meaning System = semantic, pragmatics, Function of language

“Used Usage”.

Week 1 Date 12 November 2010

Today is the first day for learning in class about translation 2 by teacher Anirut . Teacher explains the content for studying content for studying four of element: noun, verb, structures in English and Thai, vocabulary and idiom. Then, teacher has sometimes made to order the learning log from e-portfolio. The students must my own blog about two week that has points 30 points. That depend on we will design. It is the important we must invite their friends which reflects my translation. In the content must English to make learning log as the original consists of vocabulary, phonetics symbol and meaning .If, we read from website give write refer to that can link into web. The blog will focus on the four skills so that learning consist of the first listening ,we might listen to America that what learning might be inviting friends to come into blog of oneself.Then, speaking sometimes we may be meeting with foreigners can post into blog. Next, writing teacher may be give text type call “genre” such as newspapers, magazines, short story, brochures, etc. The teacher may bring these articles to translate them. Finally, reading the students must learn outside the classroom that may be newspapers, textbook or internet etc. After, they bring to summary the story that their learning. In addition, in blog should put assessment why they choose blog. Then, Autonomous is emphasizing a learner that it is essential for evaluate progression and learn result of us. The important of English Teacher must four kind consist to teach the students.

I practiced listening and singing (Out of reach).I've learned strategies translate English into Thai. It is prime and connection the words in the English .In each sentence will be tenses such as: past simple, past prefect, future simple, If clause, the verb to express the feelings, etc. In addition, we’re able to see an example of the technical translation.
